I always like to start off with a nice story: “An apparel company is selling a very unique style of jacket that is breatheable, wicks away water and is extremely durable. The company recently launched their website and they are not ranking yet for any terms relating to their custom jacket even though they have done all the right SEO steps. That is because SEO takes time to implement and be discovered (seo is very important so do not disgard it). The company needs to be found now so they find a company who can do AdWords Marketing and manage their PPC account. They find a pay per click company that is reputable and once their campaigns go live they see instant sales and live Happily Ever After.”
This is the type of thing that happens for companies all the time once they become educated on the true power of pay per click management and AdWords Marketing.
Let’s look at the anatomy of an AdWords Marketing campaign:
First do a competitor analysys and see what keywords your competition is bidding on. What position are they in? Do they rank well organically for that terms? What is there approximate spend on PPC?
These are the type of questions you should be looking to answer in the beginning phase, because it will assist you in knowing where your competitors are at and will assist you in the next step.
Keyword Research
During this step you will look to identify which keywords are best for your PPC campaign. Which keywords get the most traffic, but the least amount of competition? What keywords are going to convert well for your products or services?
